Quality always comes with the name Swarovski. Known for producing the finest optics in the world, this company released its new Z6 rifle scopes in 2007. Offering an increased eye relief, unparalleled clarity and an exceptional range in magnification and field of view, this product is astounding in every aspect.
The success of a hunt depends on the high-grade scope used according to several serious hunters. Most of us will be quite apprehensive to invest on optics of this caliber unless exceedingly wealthy. Simmons rifle scopes are a perfect example of this phenomenon. Still, owners of Swarovski products can fully attest to its quality making the purchase all worth it. The Z6 2-12x50 L rifle scope was recently added to my collection. To aid long range shooting accuracy, I chose the Z6 2-12x50 L with the TDS-PLEX reticle. I decided to go with the basic model although the Z6 is also available with an inherent illumination system. I planned to test this new scope during Alberta’s spring black bear season in 2007.
I arrived in Alberta just in time for bear season which left me only a week to assemble the scope with my rifle and accustomed myself with it. I was instantly enamored after only a few shots. Without a doubt, it was the finest I had ever used. I was completely drawn. I am the kind of person who gets adamant when it comes to overly eager writers when they assess a given product. Comments vary from positive to negative. In this case, the Z6 undoubtedly stands out above the rest. Its relatively larger size (2-12x50 L weighs in at 520 g/18.3 oz.) is the only flaw I can find. This scope boasts numerous features such as the dioptric correction ring that ensures crystal clear focusing; it has a fine zero point adjustment features for elevation and windage not to mention its sleek Swaratop® reflection-reducing coating. With this scope, what more could you ask for?
Swarovski is an Austrian company that was founded by Daniel Swarovski in 1895. He started his enterprise when he patended an electric cutting machine that helped him produce lead crystal glass jewelry.
Swarovski Optik is a part of The Swarovski Group. The Swarovski Group also includes Tyrolit (which produces abrasive and cutting tools); Swareflex (which manufactures reflective and luminous road markings); and Enlightened - Swarovski Elements (which makes and mines gemstones)
The company also even operates a crystal-themed theme park, Swarovski Kristallwelten (Crystal Worlds), which is located at an indoor facility in Austria.
