Red Dot Scopes

Red dot sights project a red dot onto the inside of the lens. Only you can see this dot, and the image of your target is typically not magnified. Laser sight scopes are different in that the red dot is actually visible on your target by anyone, not just you. These laser sights can give you away to your target, so use these with care. The lasers are still visible in the daytime, but they are much more effective in low light situations. Some of these sights can be mounted on top of a telescopic scope, and some are mounted underneath the barrel.
